MERGING+ANUBIS Music Mission Released

The Music Mission has landed after an intensive period of beta testing with an international roster of leading musicians, engineers and producers. The original claim of being able to optimize the feature set by loading different software has been fully realized. The Music Mission can be downloaded by existing users free of charge and all new orders will be shipped with both Music and Monitor Missions loaded. When switching on the unit, choosing the Mission is a press of the touch screen and either loads the highly-praised and versatile monitor controller or if you select the Music Mission, an up to 48 input/24 output, low latency mixer with multiple effects appears.

Imagine having a powerful fully-featured low-latency mixer that you can take anywhere.

Imagine touch control of all your I/O connections and all your mixer functions.

Imagine feeding individual cue mixes to each band member.

Imagine this being the front and back end of your favorite DAW.

Imagine all this capability on stage with no DAW.

Imagine this all happening with the quality of audio that you never dreamed possible, whatever the sample rate.

Add your other Merging I/O units and see your system instantly expand into a monster whilst retaining full control from Anubis.

This is what being on the network really means.

There is no need to dream;

Music Mission can do this and so much more.

Tech Support: Big Thank You to Jordi & Warm Welcome to Didier and Myriam

Helping users who are in need for support is key for Merging; we think that this is part of our constructive relationship; we're always there to help. During the past 3 years Jordi Torres (top) was our support front person to whom you might have talked, phoned, mailed, teamviewed, logged, skyped, whispered or zoomed. He was technically very skilled, very diplomatic but primarily dedicated to find a solution or simply to help out with basics. We were blessed to have him in our team. He has decided to leave Merging Technologies and we wish him all the best for his future professional projects.

Meanwhile, two new people have joined our support team. Didier Bender (bottom right) with whom you may have already been in contact and Myriam (bottom left) who will join us officially on June 1st. We welcome them both very warmly.

Didier, is not only a Merging super user and ambassador, he is also mixing rock, punk and metal, plus an Avid certified user and hence a Pro Tools expert. He also brings with him expertise from Antelope Audio and has been running his own production company. He is already fully operational and ready to help.

Many of you will already have seen Myriam in the recently released video for the Anubis Monitor Mission, where she was helping with the recording. She joins us from a former position as an Event Coordinator. She has vast experience in general support. She is also licensed kickboxer so don't play it too smart!

Merging provides the RAVENNA/AES67 solution for the new studio facility

Given a reputation for producing award winning products and with a majority of employees being keen musicians, setting up a recording facility in the new headquarters in Cambridge, MA was a serious endeavour.  To support its purpose as both a testing facility and as a not-for-profit recording and mastering studio, careful equipment choice was paramount.   That task fell to iZotope’s Chief Engineer and Education Director, Jonathan Wyner and renowned acoustician, Francis Manzella.  Critical components in the listening chain are the mic pres and the A/D and D/A converters. The final choice was Merging’s Horus Networked Converters partnered with PMC monitors, Avid S3 EUCON Controllers with an IHSE Draco Tera KVM Matrix, Dangerous Audio compressors and Grace Monitor Controllers.
