Semtech Blue River introduce the new AVP family of devices now manufactured in ASIC technology

Semtech Blue River introduce the new AVP family of devices now manufactured in ASIC technology with low power, cost effective, and small footprint solutions for 4K UHD video over IP with built-in image processing

Building on the AVX100 and AVX200T series of point to point video links over standard CAT or fibre, the AVP1000, AVP2000, and AVP2000T add network switching capability using standard Ethernet switches, and taking advantage of their scalability and low cost, when compared to matrix switchers. With a common programming interface to previous SDVoE devices, new AVP designs fit seamlessly into the already growing portfolio of SDVoE compatible products on the market.

AVP1000 – 4K video, RS232, USB, and IR over Ethernet with CAT cabling

  • 4K60 4:4:4 with uncompressed image quality
  • Multi-channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet, RS-232, USB and IR
  • Zero latency extension and switching
  • Independent switching for all signal types
  • Support for category cabling
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE) compatible

AVP2000 – Add Fibre support and image processing

  • 4K60 4:4:4 with uncompressed image quality

  • Support for bidirectional video

All Blue River AVP series devices have a comprehensive RDK allowing for quick time to market development of hardware and software. SDVoE technology is backed up by a strong alliance, supporting and growing the market for low latency uncompressed video over Ethernet. The alliance academy is also running a certification programme to provide training for installers and system architects.

L2tek supports a range of products to complement Semtech Blue River designs, such as SDVoE ready switches from Netgear, fibre/copper SFP transceivers and network cabling infrastructure.
